Is the Foundation Certificate an ISTQB or ISEB qualification?

The foundation certificate is the entry level qualification for software testers in the ISTQB® Certified Tester Scheme.

The ISEB branding has been discontinued by the BCS.

Candidates will follow defined learning objectives as defined in the syllabus to remember, understand, apply and analyse the basic concepts of software testing.  The course is aimed at anyone involved in software testing, it will also be of interest to project managers, quality managers, business analysts and IT directors or management consultants.

Courses and exams are derived from the ISTQB® syllabus and supported with a multiple choice exam that has 40 questions set from K1 to K3 level [Remember, Understand, and Apply].
